Fernando Beltran, Presenter, Disney Institute
Fernando Beltran incorporates more than 20 years of leadership experience from within the Disney
organization.
Fernando began his career with The Walt Disney Company in 1983 as a performer in various roles and
responsibilities. He soon became a stage manager and started his leadership experience at Disney’s
Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. As part of a dynamic team of
leaders, he was responsible for the scheduling and daily operation of the cast and crew of multiple live shows
and events.
During the next 15 years, Fernando developed strong skills as a manager and leader in entertainment which
led to promotions as production manager and finally to team leader. In these leadership roles, Fernando
developed and managed the production teams of live shows, parades and special events at all four Walt
Disney World Resort theme parks and across the United States. With his extensive entertainment background
and fluency in Spanish, Fernando was also responsible for leading production teams in Argentina and Brazil—
presenting live Disney shows through the region.
In 2006, Fernando transitioned to the Walt Disney World Resort casting services team, where he recruited,
interviewed and selected right-fit talent.
Fernando brought his talents to Disney Institute in 2008. It’s the perfect platform for using all his skills and
experience, combined with his multiple passions for technology, innovation, learning, teaching and personal
development in the service of Disney Institute clients.
Adding to his list of leadership roles, Fernando has also worked for the National Basketball Association’s
corporate office in Miami from 1996-1998 for the Latin American events and marketing division before moving
to Secaucus, N.J. As events manager, he helped produce special events including celebrity and youth skills
events and the NBA All-Star Game.
Fernando holds an Associate of Arts degree from Valencia Community College. He has acquired various
licenses and certifications in the financial services industry, including mortgage broker, securities and
investment, and life insurance licenses issued by the state of Florida.
