Steven J. Champeau, President and CEO, Trans-Alarm
Steven J. Champeau has over 30 years of experience in the security and loss prevention field. He currently serves as the president and CEO of Trans American Security Services in Burnsville, Minnesota. Prior to joining Trans American, Mr. Champeau was the president of the North American region for Checkpoint Systems, a multinational manufacturer and marketer of technology-driven integrated solutions designed to protect people and assets. His primary area of interest in 22 years at Checkpoint Systems was in the development and implementation of life-safety and property protection solutions, with a special focus on technology used to deter and detect internal and external theft in retail chain store applications.
He graduated from the Minneapolis Technical Training Institute and received alternative M.B.A. certification from the Executive Development Center at the University of Minnesota—Carlson School of Management. He lives in Minnesota with his wife and four children.
