Joe Himmelheber, Director of Merchandising, Caito Foods
Joe Himmelheber has been involved with produce retail marketing for nearly 35 years. For 18 of those years, he has been an associate of Caito Foods. As a Director of Merchandising for Caito Foods Service, Inc., he supervises a staff of over 20 merchandising support associates.
Mr. Himmelheber studied economics and political science at Indiana University. He is a frequent speaker at many state associations and has been a featured speaker at the National Grocers’ Association Convention. He has taught all facets of produce merchandising to students in Caito Foods’ multi-state distribution area and has received the Produce Marketing Association’s “Train the Trainer” certification status.
Among his many achievements is the design of award-winning displays featured in industry trade shows. Mr. Himmelheber also created displays that lead Caito Foods to be the first fresh produce distributor to be allowed to display at the Food Marketing Institute’s Annual Convention at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
